The five regions within Rikolto's network structure are supported by a Global Support Team. This team performs key advisory roles and provides shared services such as finance, monitoring & evaluation, people & organisation, communications and fundraising for the organisation. Within this team, we are now looking for reinforcement in the area of finance.
About the position
Rikolto is looking for a half-time accurate, reliable and communicative Finance & Administration Officer. We are looking for someone who can complete our team in with their accounting and financial administration skills. It is important that you love numbers and enjoy processing financial and accounting data, but also that you like taking responsibility for maintaining accurate and complete accounting records in an organisation that is constantly changing. You will become part of an enthusiastic and diverse international team.
What we offer

Your role
As a future employee in the finance department, you will contribute to qualitative and correct bookkeeping for Rikolto International. You will work closely together with the Finance Analyst and our team in Leuven, and have many international contacts with finance colleagues in our regions.
Concretely, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Checking and processing invoices in Blue 10 (external suppliers, intercompany invoices, expense reports, Mastercard expenses,...)
- Add attachments to invoices in Exact and Blue10
- Update master data AP in Exact
- Preparation of AP payments in Exact and banking applications
- Preparation and follow-up of international transfers within Rikolto
- Assisting with audit processes - collecting documents
- Handle internal and external questions regarding supplier accounting
- Preparing 3-monthly VAT declaration
Your profile
Qualifications, technical knowledge and experience
- You have a very good knowledge of Belgian accounting rules through an education in accountancy, or through relevant work experience
- You have experience in analytical accounting, preferably in an international context. We also welcome young graduates with internship experience.
Skills
- You have good computer skills, and can work fluently with Office365 and Excel. Experience with the accounting software Exact is a plus.
- You speak and write English well.
